It's the Little Things That Make a Life

Comments (0)

Sometimes we are so concerned about the big things in life that we miss the little ones that make all the difference in the world to us. It is those day in and day out occurrences that really make our lives go around. I have created a list here of many of the little things I cherish most. I hope this will encourage you to make a list of your own. Post it somewhere so you can see it and be grateful you have these things in you life.
Watching a beautiful sunset. A kiss from a loved one. Playing my piano on a rainy day. Getting kisses from my goldendoodle. The smell of a spring shower. Vegetables from my garden. Barbeques on warm summer evenings. Summer vacation in another part of the world. The joy oh having Grandchildren. The soft skin of a brand new baby. Daughters and their families. Freedom to go places in my car. Lots of books to read. The miracle of the internet. The ability to write. Traveling to different places to see different things and different people. Good supermarkets to shop in. Plenty of clothes and shoes to wear. A nice cozy house to live in. The smell of fresh country air. Being close enough to the city to take advantage of what it has to offer. Being healthy and having the energy to do things. Having a husband who cares for me. Being close to my extended family. Having my mother and father in my heart. The beauty of the first snow storm of the year. My affiliation with the Rotary Club. Not having to wait in long lines at the gas station. Beautiful flowers in the house. Getting emails. The smell of bacon and coffee in the morning. Hot soup on a cold day. Sipping hot coffee all morning while I write. Having lunch or coffee with a friend. Catching up with an old friend I haven't heard from in a long time. Watching grand children grow. Buying a gift for someone who does not expect it. Having a good cup of tea in the afternoon. Listening to a good choir perform. Going for a nice long swim. Taking a bike ride after dinner. Walking to the ice cream shop for a treat. Going on a Friday night date with my husband. Having fabulous business partners. Getting comments on my blog from people I don't even know.

These are some of my favorites - what are yours?
